The Hinckley Pilot Association grew out of a desire to match-up fellow mariners who share an interest in, and a love for, the "Pilot 35".
The genesis for this was originally sparked by Don and Jane Danilek who, back in 1984, meticulously assembled a Pilot 35 book. It has been my dream to update
the book and carry on the spirit of "loyalty to ownership, design and construction" that they reference in their wonderful publication.
My relationship with 'GLORY' and the Hinckley Company began in Bass Harbor, Maine some twenty years ago. I was introduced to the then Service Manager of BHM,
John Correa (a fellow Pilot owner), who has become a steadfast advisor, a valued supporter of our efforts with the HPA and a treasured friend. I credit him with
getting me started on this enriching venture. The assortment of Pilot owners I have met since I first hoisted Glory's sails have only reinforced my desire to
gather these impressive folks in a forum all sailors seem to enjoy: "Let's share stories" and "Let's sail".
